Is this food handler training and test approved for my area?

Our program complies with Rule 61C-4.023 of the Florida Administrative Code and is recognized statewide.

How much time do I have to get certified?

New employees have up to 60 days from the date of hire to obtain certification. Current employees must renew their credentials before they expire.

What do I get when I finish this course?

You will receive your official Florida food handlers card, formerly known as the Chez Pierre Florida Food Handlers Card.

How long do I have to complete the course after purchase?

You will have up to one year to take the course and access training videos.

How many tries do I get to pass the final exam?

You have two exam attempts. You must score 70% or higher to pass.

Is proof of training required?

You must repurchase the course and retake the final exam to continue working in food service.

Will I be automatically reminded when my certification is about to expire?

We will send you periodic email reminders prior to your certificate’s expiration date. However, you are ultimately responsible for renewing your credentials.

What happens if my certificate expires while employed?

The state does not offer a grace period for expired food handler cards. Once your certificate expires, it becomes invalid. You cannot keep working in food service with an expired certificate. You will need to retake the course and pass the test to resume your duties.

The course was very informative and easy to follow, and the review topic button was great to navigate back to the topic you needed quickly, instead of sifting through all the info.
