Rescheduling or Canceling Your Food Protection Manager Certification Exam
If you scheduled an appointment to take your Food Protection Manager Certification Exam with StateFoodSafety, you are responsible for remembering and keeping the appointment. If you cannot keep your scheduled appointment, please reschedule or cancel it as soon as possible to avoid any fees.

Online proctoring
Rescheduling the exam
To reschedule your exam appointment, follow these steps:
- Log in to your StateFoodSafety account.
- Locate the exam on the "My Courses" tab.
- Click View or Change Scheduled Exam, then choose Reschedule Reservation and select a new appointment time.
Please reschedule the exam before your scheduled exam time. If you miss your appointment, you will be charged $48.00 to reschedule.
Rescheduling after missing an appointment
If you've already missed your appointment, contact Customer Support to pay the $48.00 reschedule fee and reschedule your exam.
Canceling the exam
To cancel your exam appointment, follow these steps:
- Log in to your StateFoodSafety account.
- Locate the exam on the "My Courses" tab.
- Click View or Change Scheduled Exam, then choose the Cancel Reservation option.
If you want a refund for your exam, contact Customer Support. Our team will refund you according to our refund policy, which allows refunds for all products within 30 days of purchase as long as they have not been completed.
In the case of the Food Protection Manager Certification Exam, if you schedule the exam and later cancel it without taking it, we will refund you for the cost of the exam (as long as it was purchased in the last 30 days). Sorry, but we can't refund the proctoring fee after the exam has been scheduled.

Rescheduling the exam
To reschedule your exam appointment, call Customer Support at (801)494-1416. Please reschedule the exam as soon as possible to minimize the reschedule fee.

Canceling the exam
If you wish to cancel your exam appointment instead of reschedule, please call Customer Support at (801)494-1416. A cancellation fee may apply; see Prometric's reschedule/cancel policy for details.

Employer or health department proctored (in-house proctoring)
The reschedule/cancel policy for in-house proctored exams may vary depending on your proctor. Contact the proctor directly if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment to take the exam. If you're not sure who your proctor is, talk to your supervisor.
