The assessment available through StateFoodSafety, at the end of your training, must be proctored at the health department. Call (203) 576-7474 to schedule your assessment for the Food Handlers Certificate. Bring a photo I.D. with you! Once you have successfully passed the assessment, you will print out your certificate at the health department and your instructor will sign it. If your certificate is not signed by your instructor, your certificate will not be valid.

Prepare to take an adventure through the world of food safety! On your journey, you will learn everything from how to prevent food hazards to how to use proper cooking techniques.
