Food Safety Focus: Rodents

This Food Safety Focus, designed primarily for the public and volunteer food workers, particularly those serving food outdoors or away from traditional retail foodservice operations, identifies rodents as carriers of dangerous pathogens and parasites. Food workers will learn the steps for safe disposal of dead mice and rats, as well as how to clean up rodent droppings without spreading contamination.
