Take Your Exam Online with a Remote Proctor

Online proctoring is a great option to take your Food Protection Manager Certification Exam from the comfort of your own home or office.

In order to participate in online proctoring, you must:

  • Have a webcam and microphone attached to your computer
  • Have a private room to take the exam in
  • Have a current, Government-issued ID

  • Schedule Date and Time
    After this purchase, you will need to log in to your StateFoodSafety account to schedule a specific date and time to take the exam.*
  • Arrive 30 Minutes Early with ID
    Arrive early. This package includes your exam fees so you won’t need to pay any additional fees when you arrive at the testing center. And don’t forget to bring a government-issued photo ID.

How It Works
Check to See If Your Employer Offers Proctoring - You are selecting to use your employer's in-house proctoring service. With this option, your exam will be proctored through a service provided by your employer.
Schedule Exam and Manage Fees Through Employer - In-house exam sessions are scheduled through your employer, not StateFoodSafety. Your Employer may require a fee for their proctoring service.
In order to schedule your exam and find out about fees, please meet with your supervisor.

Food Protection Manager Certification Exam Use Agreement

The content of the StateFoodSafety Food Protection Manager Certification Exam is the property of AboveTraining Inc. (StateFoodSafety). It is protected by copyright law, trade secret law, and international agreements.

You are expressly prohibited from copying, recording, downloading, disclosing, publishing, reproducing, or transmitting this Exam, in any form or by any means, for any purpose, without the prior express written permission of StateFoodSafety.

Cheating is not allowed. Cheating is defined as any action that may provide an unfair advantage over other Examinees or compromise the Exam itself, such as:

  • Prior knowledge of Exam contents
  • Viewing or copying other Examinees' answers
  • Use of recorded notes or unauthorized aids
  • Planning or consulting with other persons regarding the Exam by any means.

Examinee performance is statistically monitored for evidence of cheating. You are required to report cheating to StateFoodSafety and/or to your Exam Proctor. StateFoodSafety has the right to investigate any report or suspicious behavior which could indicate cheating.

Penalties for cheating may include, but are not limited to:

  • Denial or revocation of certificate without refund
  • Immediate dismissal from the Exam location
  • Civil or criminal action
  • Refusal of future testing
  • Declining to score or to cancel the Exam score
  • Other action StateFoodSafety considers appropriate.

By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you acknowledge that the Exam Proctor may terminate your Exam if you are suspected of cheating. To receive an Exam score, you will have to retake the Exam at your own cost. If you feel that your Exam has been terminated unfairly, you may direct an appeal to complaintsandappeals@statefoodsafety.com .

StateFoodSafety may notify third parties of penalty action with or without prior notice to you. These parties include:

  • Educational institutions and Exam providers
  • Employers
  • Government health and regulatory agencies
  • Law enforcement agencies.

By completing and submitting the Exam, you authorize StateFoodSafety or its designee to release all score information to parties it reasonably deems appropriate, including but not limited to you, the Examinee; the Exam Proctor; your employer; and all regulatory agencies such as local and state health departments.

It is the policy and commitment of AboveTraining Inc. that it will not discriminate among examinees and potential examinees on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, disabilities, national origin, or sexual orientation.
